FAQ

What is Ionise Protocol?

Ionise Protocol is designed to enable a complete algorithmic money market protocol on Zilliqa EVM. The Ionise Protocol is designed as a fork of the Venus Protocol (Compound Protocol).

How do I interact with Ionise protocol?

Engaging with Ionise is straightforward. Provide your chosen asset and the desired amount to initiate interest earnings. Furthermore, after supplying assets, you can also borrow against them. The interest generated from your supplied assets can help offset the interest accrued from borrowing.

Which wallets should you use?

The protocol supports EVM wallets (e.g., Metamask) and is actively developing further integrations with multichain wallets.

Where are my supplied funds stored?

Your supplied funds are securely stored within a smart contract on the Zilliqa EVM. The contract's code is public, open-source, and has undergone formal verification. You retain the ability to withdraw your funds at your convenience or receive Ionise Tokens (iTokens) representing your stake.

Remember that these iTokens represent your collateral. It's crucial not to trade or transfer them if you have an active loan, as they're required to maintain your borrowing limit.

What is the cost of interacting with Ionise Protocol?

Transactions on the Ionise Protocol require Zilliqa EVM network fees, which are significantly lower compared to fees on other chains.

Is there any risk?

No platform can assert absolute immunity from risk. Risks associated with Ionise include smart contract risk and liquidation risk. However, the smart contracts have undergone extensive battle testing and auditing.

Why Ionise?

Decentralized Finance (DeFi) has emerged as a transformative force in the cryptocurrency landscape, ushering in a new era of financial innovation and inclusiveness. Among its foundational elements are money market protocols like Aave, Compound, and Maker, which empower users to lend, borrow, and earn interest on their cryptocurrencies. Introducing Ionise.io, an avant-garde DeFi platform constructed on Zilliqa's EVM, positioned to reshape our interaction with financial instruments.

The Ionise protocol serves as a cornerstone for Zilliqa's EVM ecosystem. By integrating various core DeFi use cases (money markets, liquid staking, DEX, bridge, etc.), Ionise assumes a central role in the ecosystem while delivering substantial value to its users.

What Oracles are used?

Decentralized Price Oracle gathers prices from multiple sources and validates them, yielding a more reliable price indicator and safeguarding against price manipulation.

What is the Risk Fund?

Ionise maintains a risk reserve for each pool. A portion of the protocol's revenue is allocated to this reserve, intended to counterbalance potential defaults and prevent potential market insolvencies.
